"Christianity 101 here people...!" =)

I've listened to every single CoBH, Scotland Ablaze, Glory Co, etc podcast w Ian over the past year+ prob a dozen times or more. I've watched everything on YouTube, Vimeo, Ustream w Ian. I think I've (easily) averaged at least a listen/day since coming across him "randomly" when I searched PodOMatic about "splitting soul and spirit" in the Summer of '13....

And I'm just starting to get some of what he's saying. My girlfriend--after noticing that I've got my 8 y/o son listening to Ian (he likes Justin & Stevie too, like me) when he goes to bed every night for the past 3 months--bought me both the Kingdom Mysteries 3-Part Set off his website and this book off the CoBH website (I think Justin, who wrote the foreword for this book, has launched a publishing company with Ian's first book here). I know, great girlfriend, right?

She's kinda at the point where she's like, "Well...Ian's prob crazy, and you're just as crazy...but...whatever you're doing is working and making you better, so...have at it: here!"

The book, surprisingly, is much easier to comprehend than his "CDs".

No doubt he's going to start saying, "Get the book!" as it breaks down a lot of formerly-confounding topics.

There's audio links of Ian praying at the end of every Chapter, as well as clearly-laid-out exercises. The book also includes the Gateways of the 3-Fold Nature of Man PDF, breaking down how to clear out your gateways for your spirit, soul, and body, and best of all...it has "Volume 1" in the title...!

I've just finished my first read-thru of the book, and while I could've kept reading similarly awesome material for thousands more pages, the exercises and the *need* to "walk" many of these teachings out makes for great re-readability + I've also noticed that I have a better understanding of what Ian's talking about as I continue to delve thru his podcasts and mp3s.

I get the feeling that either Ian's much more gifted as a writer than a live "explainer"/teacher, or he got a lot of help writing this book to make it clear, or it's a conglomeration of many years of notes, or all the above.

But, whatever the case, if you're into what Ian teaches and preaches: namely, that we have not only access to God's Kingdom, but an invitation to go, then you're going to benefit from this book.

Note: I do have a Kindle, but I also read the book via the free Kindle app on my iPhone and other devices, and they all "sync" so I can leave off in one spot on one device, and pick it up later in that same spot from another device (via the Kindle app).

Has Made a Difference in My Life Already

I have made it about halfway through the book (I'm still working on chapter 1 material in my life) however I am continuing my reading because the information in this book has me thinking long after I have read it. Readers can expect a practical guide with scripture to back up the concepts the author discusses. After each chapter there is an exercise the author suggests along with helpful hints. Be ready for some of your religious doctrines to be challenged (mine were). This is a book for those wanting to know God and has practical exercises to help the reader on his way. I will update after finishing.

This book was great in teaching demonstrating and explaining.This book is one of those that you need to have in your library and that you want to read it all the way through and then go back and digest each chapter and do each activation. This is like a manual that you're going to want to use and referred to. This book is very powerful and I highly recommend reading it. It is a great investment tool you can go back and refer to it as you learn and grow in the spirit realm. It will seem like you are the end of the book and you can write a review but that is where the work and deliverance really begins. He has a lot of instructions after that point. I do recommend this book for every Christians Libraray and what good is a book unless you do what is written in it. Be blessed when you get this book.

Weed, Water, and Wait

What a beautiful picture book! This is one that will be loved in classrooms during a unit on plants. I should probably save this review until Spring, but it's too great not to tell you about now.

This book reminded me a little of The Magic School Bus series because the teacher, Miss Marigold, made me think of Ms. Frizzle, with her name and her outfits. There is a grouchy neighbor that the students befriend and turn into a wonderful gardening mentor for them. In the end, everyone is happy, which is a great way to end a picture book!

The pictures themselves are so vivid and bright. Children are sure to love them and want to study them. Each page has a lot going on, that they will want to revisit the book to catch every detail. It's not too much on a page as to overstimulate the reader, but enough to hold their attention and keep them finding some new detail. Colleen Madden did a wonderful job of capturing the essence of the children and the school garden that they work together to create.

This book could be used in the classroom for many different themes: Spring, plants, teamwork, friendship, and possibly others that I may not think of. As I was reading it, I had one of my teachers in mind. She refers to her students as her little flowers that grow more and more with each new day and new learning. Sometimes we see results quickly like the students did in their garden with some of the vegetables, but other times we have to wait longer for our work to "sprout." This teacher spends many days teaching (watering), reteaching (weeding) and then watching what her children do (waiting). In the end, she has amazing results, just like the beautiful garden that sprouts!

Beautifully illustrated, engaging, and informative book on cultivating a garden

Being a keen gardener myself, I was excited to see this title at our local library as I wanted to share an appropriate picture book on gardening with my young daughter. "Water, Weed, and Wait" did not disappoint. The students at Pepper Lane Elementary are clueless about starting their very own school garden until Miss Marigold, the garden lady, comes to their rescue. The children and teacher pick out a suitable spot (well, initially the location does not look promising, but Miss Marigold assures them that most gardens start off quite simply). The group plans and puts in lots of effort and soon enough the garden slowly takes shape.

There's also an interesting character in the form of the neighborhood grouch, Mr. Barkley, who is a master gardener himself, and eventually the children come to realize Mr. Barkley is not that bad after all, and he lends them help in making the garden a success. The illustrations are painted in brilliant hues that remind readers of the abundant life around us, and the wonderful colors in nature. There is one particular illustration that captured both my daughter's imagination and mine. It is an illustration of Miss Marigold releasing hundreds of ladybugs, the "good guys of the garden", and these lovely bugs are flying around the garden in all their winged glory!

At the end of the book there are tips provided on how to cultivate a school garden, and online resources are also provided. There is even a useful checklist on the things that are needed for a school garden. This delightful and engaging book is sure to inspire many young gardeners and hopefully result in lots of new school gardens!

Water, Weed & Wait = Witty, Wise & Wonderful

So witty, so useful to the tyro young gardener. This particular copy was sent by me as a gift to my hometown library, but I have read another copy of Ms Fine's book earlier. WW&W traces the development of a garden in an otherwise unusable space, gives due credit to the virtues of gardening right and gardening with a sundial, so to speak, not a stopwatch. Ms Fine's language is appropriate for the young audience. She even gives tips how we, the readers, can emulate the young gardeners.

Understanding Polymer Manufacturing

The book Injection Mold Design Engineering provides a great amount of detail on polymer flow in plastic manufacturing processes. The book describes the basics of mold flow design and shares insight in how polymers flow and where issues may arise in the design of molds. There are plenty of formulas with examples to demonstrate their application. Details cover many aspects of the mold design including wall thickness, runners, corners, angles, ribs and much more.

Some material seems to stop short of the complete details leaving the reader wanting. But the value of the rest of the material makes the book well worth its price. I use this book as one of several technical references in writting articles for a free on-line magazine that focuses on plastic polymers and the manufacturing processes [...], sponsored by Precise Mold and Engineering a custom plastic manufacturing company([...]).

Brilliant, refreshingly easy to understand, powerful relief from loneliness.

Dr. Narang has clearly done a thorough review of the scientific literature on interpersonal relationships and attachment theory and he has masterfully integrated the information with experience taken from clinical psychology and Buddhism to create a wonderful book that can help people who are struggling in any of their relationships. The explanations in this book are straightforward and the exercises are easy to understand, though they demand thoughtfulness to carry out. 'What makes me strong' and 'Locating beauty' are two of my favorites and exemplify the positive, hopeful theme of this book. There are so many exercises and so much information, but it is well organized and easy to access. I have already started integrating the material into treatment plans for several of my clients. This is helpful for people who struggle to establish and maintain meaningful relationships and also for people who just wish to give and receive at a higher, more satisfying level. The true brilliance of the book is that it is helpful to experienced professionals but also to readers with no specialized knowledge. This isn't a condescending tome with unrealistic or unattainable goals. This is self-reflection done right, designed to help you take a hard look at what makes you lonely and then do something about it.

A must have book

This book is cutting edge because it is the first time that someone has tried to explain attachment styles in plain English. This is not an easy task to do because of the complexity of attachment. Dr. Narang helps you explore your attachment style through exercises in an easy-to-use workbook format. When you understand your attachment style, he walks you through exercises and activities that help you to find more meaningful relationships. His examples "hits home" in terms of adding meaningfulness when you are reading the book and going through the exercises.

Excellent, Well Thought Out, and very Useful

Dr Narang does an excellent job in breaking down the three main attachment styles, helping you figure out which attachment styles apply to you, and then giving you specific exercise to help you become more involved/open with people (if you are avoidant), and/or more secure and resilient (if you are anxiously attached/enmeshed). He puts his finger on important dynamics that can effect all of our relationships, AND gives excellent concrete steps on how to change those dynamics. This is an excellent workbook!

About the Author
Professor and chairman of the Marketing department at San Diego State University. He received a B.S. in Marketing from Penn State University, an M.S. in Marketing from the University of Colorado and a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has published numerous articles in prominent journals

He received his B.S. degree in Marketing from Penn State University, his M.B.A. from Drexel University, and his Ph.D. in Consumer Behavior from the University of Pittsburgh. He has published articles on advertising and marketing in a variety of journals and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Advertising. He also consults for a number of companies in the areas of advertising, marketing strategy, and amrketing research.

Love the subject hate the book

Some text books are great reads. They are filled with information about the topic, include relevant examples, and explain things concisely. This book is not one of them. The information is buried in tons of redundant examples and verbose descriptions. There are also long winded real life stories that would add to the topic if the reader was not already bogged down in the overwhelming text.I never knew what a poorly written text book looked like until this semester. I saved this class for my senior year because it was the class that I most looked forward to. Having to read this book is ruining the class and taking time that could be better used studying for other classes or doing other valuable activities.

This was a great text regarding IMC. Very through and relevant. A great tool to be used for Marketing Professionals. Loaded with real life examples that appropriately apply the concepts and theory presented.

A Textbook that's Interesting

I got the Kindle "rented" version for 3 months - it's ridiculously priced to buy or to rent - obscene and they should be ashamed. That said - the book, while slow going, is absolutely fascinating. I would take this class again just to read the rest of the book that I missed!
It's updated fairly regularly every couple years it seems - I recommend it. Oh, and say goodbye to your money $ka-ching!$$

Excellent for those in the physical sciences

This book is highly recommended for those needing statistics in their work, especially those at a graduate level. It explains concepts in a straightforward manner and in plain English, but also includes many mathematical treatments for those who want to understand the concepts at a more rigorous level.

Statistics for everyone

This is a fine book on statistical methods. By reading it you will economically learn how to use statistics and the reasons why the methods work. Like I said , economically. It explains in a few pages what take other books chapters to explain and does it better. The examples are from physics. However they are not complicated so that a person reading this book can aplly its methods to any other science
