STORY BRIEF:
Alexandra (Alex) is a private detective working mostly for insurance companies, but her passion is helping women disappear from abusive husbands - think civilian run witness protection program. She's a computer whiz. She helped Melanie disappear, but Melanie broke the rules and returned to her home town. Alex believes Melanie has been killed. Alex asks homicide cop Nathan to help her investigate.

REVIEWER'S OPINION:
Very good. There were some clever ideas and some things I hadn't heard before. I liked the conversations. There was nice romantic development. I might have liked a little more wow factor or emotional appeal to give it 5 stars.
I agree with Bookaholics Reviewer who describes this as intelligent, detailed, filled with high tension, and has a feeling similar to watching CSI.

A perfect romantic suspense combination

One of private investigator Alex Lovell's special skills is to help clients disappear while leaving bread crumbs that throw the pursuer off in the wrong direction. The key to this though is that the client sticks to the plan.

When Alex finds out that Melanie Bess has not only left her hiding place in Florida but come back to Austin she is livid. Tracking her down to a remote cabin Alex finds a severed ipod earbud and a suspicious amount of blood which leads her to believe that Melanie's ex has caught up with her.

Alex then takes her suspicions to the homicide detective Nathan Deveraux. Not only does Nathan think that Melanie is not truly missing but he also doesn't believe that her ex, who is an upstanding member of the Austin PD, is involved. But little by little the clues start to add up to something bigger than either of them suspected and if Alex keeps digging, she just might be digging her own grave.

Untraceable is a the first book in the new Tracers Series but both Alex and Nathan are characters that appear in Griffin's Glass Sisters Series so starting the book they were already familiar characters for me.

Griffin is truly a master of the romantic suspense genre. She captures the heat between Alex and Nathan perfectly and at the same time gives us a nail-biting plot that is fully developed. It kept me guessing until the very end and I never even figured who was behind the bad buys which was genius!! Untraceable is a recommended read for anyone who loves a perfect romantic suspense novel.

I've never seen pages fly by so fast as when I was reading Laura Griffin's new Tracers series book UNTRACEABLE. It is full of suspense and breath taking thrills as P.I. Alexandra Lovell tries to trace a woman she made disappear for her protection. Melanie Bess wanted to escape from her husband, who is a wife beater, and Laura helped her but now Melanie seems gone for good. Alex enlists the help of an elite team of forensic scientists known as The Tracers. She also meets sexy Austin PD detective Nathan Devereax who she convinces to help her find Melanie. Alex thinks she may be murdered and Nathan tells her she needs a body before she has a case.

Wow, once you start reading you can't stop so clear the decks, light the lights and lock the doors! You're in for a whirlwind of an adventure that will knock your socks off. Laura Griffin is a hot new author you want to put on your "must read" list.

Ebeling offers much more than an intro to Luther! He lets you live in his world that is filled with polarities in dynamic motion: faith and love; law and gospel; the two kingdoms etc. it's my second read through. I'll come back to it again.

Not a good "introduction", but a great analysis!

Ebeling's "Luther: An Introduction to his thought." Is a bit of a misnomer. If this book were used as an introduction to Luther's theology it would leave the reader a bit confused, and its technical language would present many snares. But for an intermediate student of Luther and his writings this book is indispensible. Examining Luther's thought as a series of ascending polarities such as, "Philosophy and Theology", "The Letter and the Spirit", and "The Law and the Gospel", the book then considers Luther's Two Kingdoms Principle and the doctrine of the bound will. Ebeling makes a final discussion of the significance of Luther's concept of who God is in light of all the ideas discussed above. The organizational structure is self-conscious, helpful, and in my opinion brilliant. This work is a profound study on Luther's thought and an amazing apologetic for Luther's much maligned way of theologizing. The copious and meaty quotes from Martin Luther also flush the narrative out nicely. Detracting from the work is the overall lack of clarity in the prose, this is probably due to these being lectures published initially in German and given to theology students. This again is why the book is ideal seasoned Luther students who will recognize the doctrines and ideas discussed and be able to allow Ebeling to arrange them in a elucidating pattern. A must for the library of a Lutheran pastor, Luther scholar, or overall theology enthusiast! But newcomers beware, try other works like Dr. Steve Paulson's "Luther for Armchair Theologians" first.

Best commentary on Luther available.

This book is really head and shoulders above any other work on Luther and his theology. No one else brings out the radicality of Luther's thought better than Ebeling. Of special note is Ebeling's exposition of Luther's hermeneutic, his method of interpreting the Bible. A chapter in my Ph.D dissertation was on Luther, and this book helped more than anything except Luther's own texts. I wouldn't be too worried about the so-called technical vocabulary; this is no more technical or difficult than any other substantive work on Reformation theology.

Excellent Addition to My Design Library

My copy of Jeff's book arrived today. I have work to do but I can't put it down. It's excellent.

I started just flicking through the last couple of chapters (about pricing and self promotion) and my afternoon went down in flames.

I've only read three chapters but they were worth several times the cost of the book - plus a pot of gold dust.

I'm reminded of Steven Wright's joke: I like to read books by starting in the middle because then, if I enjoy a book, there's always more.

Not only is it well written with a load of useful information, funny quotes, and input from other designers, but apparenly it's a mood enhancer too. I've been feeling kinda blech all week and now I'm feeling inspired.

Wealth of knowledge in a small format for young graphic designers

Decent book, after years of being in business it didn't really reveal a huge amount of info for me but it was still an easy quick read and I wouldn't say it was a waste of time even with my experience. For an inexperienced designer just starting out this could be a wealth of knowledge.
