A Very Complete Guide

The game is not a very easy one and most of the puzzles are nearly impossible to complete without this guide...and the guide delivers. It is very explanatory for the puzzles and sometimes includes a helpful illustration for the reader. However, these pictures are in black and white and are sometimes hard to figure out what is being shown. There is very little extra content in the book, but it does have an appendix with every map in the game.
One of the nice features in the book are little boxes that are on some pages that either give a Tip, a Note, a Warning, or a Hint. The hints give you alternative ways to play some of the puzzles. The game is not linear and there are multiple endings so these help guide you to the ending you'd want. Warnings warn you about lethal things to come in the game. It's a point and click game but you can die. The notes just give a quick bit of info that might be useful or just interesting. And the tips literally tell you what to do in baby steps. There is a part of the game where you can play poker (Texas Hold 'em) and the tips literally tell you how to play poker if you don't know.
The guide itself is written in a most interesting way. It's written in first person as though the character in the game is telling you what he is doing. For example, instead of the book telling you you'll need to cross a bridge to continue, the book says "After crossing the bone bridge..." It's fun just to read on its own because it's like a science fiction novel. The book even includes the dialogue situations between characters, and it somehow. Not only is it in first person but it does keep the personality of the main character from the game.
The price of the book here on Amazon is the best I've ever seen it. The game is not too rare, but according to other websites this book is VERY rare. Dealers on eBay were trying to charge over 75USD for it. On Amazon I purchased the book brand new still in the shrink wrap (despite having been released in 1996) for 17USD.
On a side note, I also love this book because of the nostalgia. There are advertisements in the front and back of the book for other PC games from the same time and its so nostalgic seeing an advert for TEK Wars and a BBS to go along with it. It just reminds me of the time this game was released and it makes the book that much more memorable to look through.

Great Book

If you have played the game u have probably been lost in several occasions. With this guide to the game you can see who is behind the pausing of the pocket universes. This game has many puzzles and unique gameplay and it could be challenging without this guide. If you have the game and decide that you dont know how to get around, buy this Book!!
